Sleeping at the Cracker Barrel was great. We all slept well and no one bothered us. It rained all night but we didn't hear it. When we woke up in the morning, we were surprised to see that it was 9 AM hahahah. We were tired. Then I looked at how far away we were from our campground and it turned out that we were only 18 miles away!!! That was great!!! Scotty drove so dang far the last two days!!! So now, we needed to see if our campground would let us check in early. Regular check in is at 12 and no one is letting you get an early check in because most campgrounds are so busy. I chanced it and called the KOA anyways. They were so nice and told me that we could go on over whenever we wanted to. I was shocked!! That never happens. So we left and made it to the campground around 12 PM. Yet another blessing!!!
With Scotty and Graham leaving to Virginia today, we really wanted the campground to be nice and feel safe. As we pulled in, we could tell that this campground was going to be perfect. It felt safe and secure. The owners were very nice and accommodating. This was the perfect place for Scotty to leave me.
We immediately unpacked and then got Scotty/Graham ready to fly out. The goal was to leave by 2PM to take them to the airport. We easily made that with no stress because of the early check in. I could tell that Graham was nervous, but he was very brave. As a family, we drove them to the airport and dropped them off with big hugs and kisses and some tears. After we pulled away, Asher said that this is probably how it is going to be when the kids go on missions and to school. He is probably right. It will be sad to be separated as a family.
The kids and I drove back to our campground and waited to hear if Scotty and Graham landed OK in Virginia. To pass the time we played outside and watched the Hallmark channel. Finally at 11:40 Scotty called me and told me that they landed and that everything was good. Then and only then could I fall asleep:)
