Saturday April 3, 2021 - Hapuna Beach, Hawaii

Paradise on Earth!!  No lie.

Not only is this Easter weekend, but it is General Conference for our church.  We get to listen to the leaders of our church, including the prophet of the world, tell us what Christ would have us know and do.  Here in Hawaii, the first session is at 6 AM!!!  So we spent the morning listening to Conference.

Then, Our first Hawaii adventure was to Hapuna Beach.
This beach took us about 30 minutes to get to.  The drive was very easy and the scenery was mostly lava rock.

Here is the mini van we are renting.  We are naming it The Albino Tortuga.

Let the fun begin!!
The water was clear and warm.  I even jumped in.  The easy waves made Boogie boarding smooth for even Taj.  We really enjoyed today.  It was a serious joy to be laying on the beach without a care in the world. The only thing we cold have done better was to apply more sunscreen.  Everyone came back looking like lobsters.

We boogie boarded, napped, snorkeled, napped, build sand castles, swam, ate food, surfed and got some serious sun.  We even saw a turtle that swam by us!!!!   The Williams had all the beach toys that we needed.  They have their vacation condo stocked with all the best vacation fun things!!

Taj surfed!!

Taj got buried in the sand.

When we were all beached out, we went back to the condo for dinner.  Then, Pepper and I went on a flower walk.  Look at all the amazing flowers we found.

The family watched movies to wind down for bed. Bring on more Hawaii days like this!!!

  2. What a beautiful place to be. We enjoyed Kona several years ago when we went there for business/pleasure. We've been to Oahu a number of times. Yes, Conference was amazing! We especially enjoyed the music and speakers from around the world. Someone posted about the technology that is needed to produce, and it exceeds the U.N. We were especially thrilled to hear the announcement of 20 new temples, some near family or ancestral homelands.
