Wednesday April 7, 2021 - Southern Most Tip and Green Sand Beach

Beautiful Kona!!

Our Condo Unit.

Today we decided to travel two hours south to go to the southern most tip of the Island.  This point isn't just the southern most point of the island, it's the southern most point of the USA!!!  Now we've been to Key West, which is the southern most point of the main land AND, the southern most point of ALL the US.  Cool right???

These are pictures I took while we drove down there.  The roads were so curvy that we all got car sick :(

Gas is expensive here.

Here we are.  The southern most point!!

Look at those cliff jumps!!!

We walked all the way out to the ocean.  The waves were huge!!  They crashed into the lava rock and we had to be careful to not slip and slide.  But oh man, this place was an extension of the paradise that we've been experiencing. Absolutely stunning.

Here it is!!!  The southern most point!!

Beautiful!!

Guess who slipped??  At least he is the strongest of us!!

The boys!

Scotty couldn't help himself.  He had to climb this tower.  We were all just so glad that there were no bees at the top of this tower.  Hahahahahaha

Views from the top.

After the walk around the southern point, we had to go cliff jumping!!!

Scotty!

Snack time.

To finish off our crazy day, the boys hiked 6 miles out to a beach called Green Sands Beach.  Pepper was tired so I stayed back with her.  The boys said that the beach was amazing and the sand was a dark green color.  Whoa!!

ALOHA!
