Tuesday August 10, 2021 - First Week Home

Magnets are all hung up!!  I still need to put a boarder around the sheet metal but I just love looking at these!!! So many memories!!

Homie has been parked at the campground here in Simi all week.  I got him all cleaned out and put him up for sale.  An insurance guy came over and approved putting a new roof on him so yesterday Scotty took him down to Oxnard where they will put a new roof on him and then we'll try aggressively to sell him.  As for now, he is in a better place :)) hahahah 

Here are pictures I took of him once I cleaned him out.  We were so blessed to have such a beautiful home while we traveled the country!

Adjusting to being home has been really easy for the whole family.  I, on the other hand, I am really missing being on the road.  The road calls me.  But, I understand that there is a time and a season.  Our travel season has temporarily come to an end.  We have entered a new season and I believe it will be wonderful.  While at home this last week, we slowly started unpacking and organizing our stuff.  We have so much space now that I don't want to gather clutter ever again.  So, as I'm unpacking, I'm being very careful to trash what I know is clutter.  

The kids have had friends over at the house every single day that we've been home.  Our house has been crawling with teenagers :).  Asher's buddies have basically lived here. Pepper had a swim party with all her girl friends, Taj has had his buddies over to play and swim, and Graham has had his friends over to swim and go to the bike park.    We've really enjoyed the pool and our own rooms.  Also, our bathrooms here are huge!!! 

We've had to get Graham and Asher ready to start school.  Graham starts tomorrow and Asher starts next week.  Graham is going to Royal High School and Asher is staying with his charter school.  I am going to home school Pepper and Taj but we won't start until after Labor Day.  I love homeschooling!!!  

Scotty has been very busy.  He tore apart our garage to make his office a bit smaller.  With the office smaller, we can use two of our garage stalls and not just one.  His office is in the third stall.  He took the whole first week home off of work, but is now working at the same time that he is doing the construction.  He is amazing.  He hung up my mugs from the trip!!!  

Scotty, Asher and I got to ride with our riding group!!  It was so great to be back with these guys doing crazy rides!!!

The pool has been used a lot!!  We love our pool!!

All of us at one point or another have played the piano.  We missed having the piano

We have spent so much time catching up with friends.  Friends are the best and we have some really good ones here in Simi!

Asher has challenged everyone who will play him to Chess!!
