We had such a fun day today in the city. We started it off right with ice cream!!!!
Alcatraz!!
We had the option to take a boat out there but decided against it. The kids could see it just fine from the beach. We will be sure to watch, Escape From Alcatraz.
Here we all are walking by the bay on our way to . . . .
Ghirardelli Square!!!
Yay for yummy ice cream and chocolate!!!
Yummy!!!!

Our mouths were very happy!! Delicious ice cream can put a smile on anyone!!
After that , we took the kids down to walk along the bay and see all the shops. This was fun!! I think San Francisco is my favorite city to people watch in.

Welcome to Fisherman's Wharf!!!

We bought a loaf of sourdough bread in the shape of a turtle!!!
So fun!!!!

We finished up our shopping and headed down to the Mission District to meet up with our friends the Wrights!! Scotty's friend from Newbury Park (in fact, she is the daughter of Ed and Merleene Gholdston that we saw when we were in Newbury Park), lives in the Mission District.
Here we are outside their place.

Rebecca and Derek have two kids, Emerson and Ezra. My kids instantly bonded with them. Asher and Ezra are two peas in a pod. Taj and Emerson went straight to legos!!

Dinner plans were on the agenda. They live right in the middle of all the action. All we had to do was walk down the street for some delicious Mexican food. All The kids had their scooters so we put Asher in charge of Ezra and Graham in charge of Emerson and Taj. Friends are the best!!

Pancho Villa was amazing!!! Yummy Yummy!!

We all ordered the food to go. The plan was to walk another few blocks down to a skatepark!! There we ate and the kids got their energy out!

All the cute kids.
Ezra was such a hoot. Look how dang cute he is sliding down this ramp.
We seriously had such a fun time with them that we want to get together again before we leave. We're all a bunch of crazies!!!

You look like you are having a great time. Graham andnAsher are great with kids!

ReplyDeleteHow fun that you had another meet-up with friends. I didn't realize there was a skatepark in the city. One of our sons lives there. Ghirardelli ice cream is great! Too bad you didn't get to Alcatraz, but it would have taken time and may have creeped you out. Haha!
