Friday April 23, 2021 - Bass Lake and Athena and Frank!!!

Coarsegold has this war memorial.  I salute all our vets.  

This morning we had one hour to finish scripture reading and to let Asher finish his weeks school work.  Then, we packed up and left to Bass Lake!!  Bass Lake is very close to us.  We only drove about 30 minutes to Bass Lake Boat Rentals! We rented a jet ski for today to play in the lake!!!  We wanted to get two but only Scotty and I could drive the jet ski.  Asher is slow on the go about getting his license.  If he had it, he could have driven:)). This was a great time to rub it in to get him motivated to get his class done;)). 

The first hour Scotty was working so I drove two kids at a time as we took turns. They were so funny.  First I took Asher and Pepper.  They were screaming the whole time.  When I went faster they loved it.  Then I took Taj and Graham and they basically did the same thing.  Taj screamed the whole time, "This is awesome"!!  Hahahahaha.  It was fun to see them so happy and having fun.  After the first hour, Scotty was off his call so he joined us.  He took Graham and Asher out for the last hour.  While they were gone, Pepper, Taj and I played on the beach.  Taj went fishing and Pepper and I laid in the sun to soak up the warm rays.  The lake is so beautiful.  I loved the tall trees surrounding the lake and the lake houses.  Asher and I decided that we want a condo here!!!  

When our time was up with the jet ski, we rushed home to change and head to our friends house for a BBQ.  Our friends, Athena and Frank Matsikas live in Clovis about an hour from us.  If you don't remember them, then go back to THIS post. We met them on our second "trial run" with Homie in Ventura before we left on our trip.  It was so great to hook up with them again and play.  Thank you for a delicious dinner and the Oreo's!!!
