Merry Christmas from New Orleans!!!!
Santa got some yummy cookies tonight!!
Around 1:30 AM Santa finished delivering his presents because the kids all snuggled in bed would NOT go to sleep!! Santa was very tired.
Guess who were the first ones up?? Yup. Pepper and Taj. They were so excited!!!
We spent the morning opening presents and having fun!! We got some great presents from Grandma and Grandpa, Red Nana and Papa Roland, Nana Nena and Papa Bob and then of course, Santa!!

Then, all the kids opened up an envelope that was connected to a suitcase for each of them. What was in the letter??? The longest secret that I have ever kept. Oh man it killed me to not tell them. They all got tickets to go to Hawaii as part of our trip!!!! They were all shocked and so excited. Asher was so shocked that he didn't hear the details of the trip. It took him seriously like 10 minutes to believe me and not think that I was messing with him.
Do you see this face. This was his confused face. "Wait, are we really going to Hawaii"? hahahahah. I laughed so hard. It finally sunk in and he was super excited.
After all the presents fun, we ate breakfast with some friends that came here to play with us. When we were in Virginia, we met a really cute family who's kids were playing with our kids. We bonded and decided it would be fun to connect again on the road. They were able to meet us here in New Orleans for Christmas. How cool is that?? We love making friends on the road.
Please meet Amy, Willie, Phoenix and Gavin. They are originally from Indiana but are on the road like us. We ate breakfast together and then the kids all ran around the campground playing with their toys together.

We all packed up and went to a local skate park in Now Orleans. This park was built under a freeway. The park wasn't amazing but all the kids had fun. They road bikes, scooters, skateboards and drove their remote control cars there. The locals were chill and didn't bug us at all.

Pepper did really well on her roller blades. She road down her first ramp like a pro!!
After the skate park, we all headed to New Orleans to see a few more things. It was so great to have Amy and Willie with us. We found a place to eat right on Bourbon street and then walked all over the place. Bourbon was pretty mellow as was New Orleans.

Cafe Du Monde is famous for their coffee and doughnuts. We were excited to try the doughnuts but they were closed for Christmas. Bummer :(

This is where we ate our lunch.

One thing we wanted to do was to stop by the Roosevelt Hotel and a few other hotels to see their Christmas lights. The lights were so beautiful. We took advantage of the lights and took some family pictures.

By the time we were done and home, we were all exhausted. Scotty and I talked to our families and then we literally watched TV and chilled all night. We had a wonderful Christmas here in New Orleans. We feel so blessed and are very grateful for the birth of our Savior. We love Him and want to live our lives following His example. May God bless you all this Holiday Season!!
