We started the day off with the news that Scotty's Aunt Paula died early this morning after battling colon cancer.  We were so sad.  The air all day felt heavy and solemn.  On top of the heavy feeling, it rained all day.  We took advantage of the rain and tried to get as much school done as possible. The kids weren't very focused today.  Doing school is  not the kind of fun we want to be doing, but it has to be done.

When there was a break in the rain, the kids and I went for a walk around our campground for P.E.  I have to say, this campground is huge and a bit spooky.  I'm still not sure why it's spooky.  Maybe because there are a ton of "Full Timers" here and their trailers are old and look scary.  Or maybe it's because most parts of the campground are  over grown and anything could be hiding in the weeds, ready to jump out at us.  Silly me.  Anyways, we enjoyed our "spooky" walk.

Around 5 PM Scotty was done working.  We all piled into the truck and drove up to Liberty to see Liberty Jail.  This was where Joseph Smith, Hyrum Smith and other church leaders were held unjustly for about 4 months.  We were hoping to see the jail, but the visitors center was built around the original jail.  We only got to see the outside of the visitors center.  On the door was a sign that said that they were closed but they were doing virtual tours of the inside.  I quickly made an appointment for Thursday to do a virtual tour of the jail.  We weren't ready to leave at this point so we walked around the Old Down Town Liberty.

Then we were hungry.  We ate some yummy Raising Cane chicken and fries in the back of our truck.  Yummy!!!!  Then we made the drive back to Homie after that and had a wonderful nights sleep.
