Saturday September 26, 2020 The Strong Museum and Lake Ontario

              Today Scotty rode his bike and I ran around the campground. We are endorphin junkies.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          We have been told by a lot of people to  check out The   Strong Museum while in Rochester NY.  I got us tickets to spend the day there.  Rochester was only 30 minutes away from our campground.  We were there ready to enter by 10 AM.  This museum is great for kids ages 12 and under.  I think Graham and Asher were a bit bored.  The theme of the museum was to make strong learners through fun.  I thought the museum was adorable. The way they used book themes to help the kids  learn was so brilliant.  They had a great super hero section and many interactive games for the kids to learn and explore.                                                                                                      

           Asher kicked my butt in chess like he always does.  The only difference here was that I was publicly humiliated because everyone walking by could see my 16 year old killing me in chess.                                                                                     

                 There were many spots for arts and crafts.  Taj got all crafty.                                                                                  

They had a butterfly section that Pepper and Scotty went in.  Since Butter didn't make it, we thought Pepper would love this.  She totally did.  She loves animals and especially butterflies.  

 

We thought Graham popped out a rib so I made him an appointment to go to a chiropractor to pop it back in. The chiro examined Graham and said that he thought that it wasn't a rib but actually one of his vertebral discs. He didn't pop Grahams back but only pushed on the area in a certain motion to get the fluid to go back where it belonged.  After the chiro was done, Graham had his range of motion back and felt much better.    

                                                                                                                                                  At this point everyone was starving.  We found a yummy place to eat.  The kids were cracking me up.  They were so loud and crazy that I'm sure people around us were totally annoyed.                                                                                                                            

  Scottsville.  Sounds like a place I'd like to go hahahahha                                                                             

                                           Our last big stop for the day was to go to the Ontario Beach Park.  As of now, we have visited most of the Great Lakes.  We have gone to Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie and now Lake Ontario.  The only lake that we didn't visit was Lake Huron.  We will leave that one for another trip. There was a really long pier that we walked out on.  The lake seemed just as huge as all the others.  It felt like we were at the ocean. Then, without a dry change of clothes, the kids jumped in the water and had a blast. They didn't complain at all on the way home about being wet.                                                                                                           

                    We saw this sticker on this car and we laughed so hard.  It reads "NOT A LIBERAL JUST SAVING MONEY TO BUY MORE GUNS"                                                                                 

                                       At our campsite, Scotty and I ran up the hill behind our trailer.  This campground is on an old ski resort. We had to go check it out.
