Thursday September 17, 2020. Happy Birthday Taj!!!!! And Hello Ohio

OHIO  Thank you for welcoming us.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY TO THIS CUTE LITTLE GUY  We all love Taj so much.  He is the sweetest most rough and tumble boy you'll ever know.  It is such a blessing for us to have Taj in our family.  He has brought us all so much happiness and love.  WE 💓   TAJ                                                                                                                                                                                                          Today's drive was about 4 1/2 hours.  We drove from Shepherdsville KY to  just north of Columbus OH.   Taj chose to stop at McDonald's for his birthday meal.  He wanted chicken nuggets and a McFlury.  He is so funny. We stopped in Cincinnati for a break and the bday meal.  There was a McDonalds just off the freeway that we could navigate our huge trailer to. We parked in a large mall parking lot.  Then we went to get food. We used the app to order our food but something went wrong. The app charged our credit card 26 times for the meal. We got it fixed and they just gave us our food free. 👍🏻👍🏻  After the food, we had two hours left of driving to our destination.

We got Taj his own fishing pole for his bday.  He was so excited and grateful.

We pulled in to our new campground with time to finish school and go play. The town we are in now is called Buckeye Lake OH.  It's so gorgeous here.   The kids found a bike jump park and wanted to go.  I told Taj and Asher that they couldn't ride due to their injuries.  The next thing I knew, they both were on bikes riding claiming that they felt no pain.  I let them ride as long as they didn't do anything hard or crazy.  Just the easy beginner bumps. Graham on the other hand rocked it.  Pepper did some pretty big jumps.  I was so proud of her for being brave.

When we drove to the bike park, we noticed that the streets were named Hopewell St. and Mound Mall.  That got us curious.  We started looking around.  We drove by a park and noticed that it was surrounded by what looked like a mound to us.  After the bike park, we had to check it out.  What we found blew our minds.  Here in this city, there are multiple circle mounds where ancient Indians/ Nephites built up walls to protect their dwellings. We found one of the circle mounds and walked all through it.  This place was SO cool.  We walked to the middle of the circle where modern day people found a place that looked like an alter for worship.  We sat there and contemplated that 2 thousand years ago the Nephites were right there under our feet.  That this could be a place where events took place,  that we had read about in the Book of Mormon.  Oh man, it was a cool moment.  I testified to my kids about the truthfullness of the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith.  In the pictures try to see the walls that circumference the area we were in.  Pictures just don't do this place justice.

To finish off the night, we went and got ice cream for the birthday boy. A lady at the bike park suggested Weldon's Ice cream in  Buckeye.  It was super yummy and such a cute shop.
