Welcome to New York.                                                                                          This morning we all woke up early to go straight to Niagara Falls!!  Scotty took off the first half of the day so he could go with us. We figured that we could spend all morning at the falls, then we could head back to Homie for school and work in the afternoon.  Niagara was so amazing.  The Canadian border was still closed so we stayed on the American side.  We had plenty to do. The American side had many spectacular views and a plethora of areas to play in the river above the falls.  Seriously, today was magical.

This is our new campground. It is minutes away from Niagara Falls. We really liked the easy back in spot that we had. It was called Cinderella Motel and RV. The kids had a paved road to scoot and skateboard on. The owners were super cool too.
We drove over this really cool bridge that goes over the Niagara River on our way to the falls.

Welcome to Niagara Falls State Park. This park is gorgeous.  They have done an excellent job at making this park nice.  There are places to eat and places to get ice cream.  Those are our two must haves. HAHAHAHHA

The Maid of the Mist was our first adventure.  We got to ride a boat that took us right up in front of  the falls.  We were so close that the mist drenched us and it was GREAT.  The falls were so loud and the mist was more like rain pouring on us.  The blue ponchos that they gave us kept us mostly dry, but mostly wet.  When we were waiting in line to get on the boat, one of the workers asked us what part of California we were from.  We told her Simi Valley and she got really excited.  Her daughter in law lives there.  Small world again.      To get down to the boat for the Maid of the Mist tour, we got to ride down an elevator.

Rainbow Bridge is the bridge that goes over into Canada from Niagara. Every time you look at it, you can see a rainbow because of the mist and the sun. It was so radiant.

After the boat tour, we walked all over and explored Goat Island.  Then we walked down to the Cave of the Winds.  This tour was really cool.

It was not crowded so getting tickets for the Cave of the Winds was easy.   This tour walks you down right by  Bridal Veil Falls. There were a ton of wet stairs to climb and descend. The kids loved the hurricane deck.  They got so wet.

Isn't this so gorgeous. This was my favorite view in the whole park.
We spent the rest of the day visiting the Three  Sisters Islands and soaking in all that Niagara had to offer.

After we ate, we went back home to do school, work and a virtual call with the sisters in Kirtland. The sisters walked through the Whitney store and a home that Joseph Smith lived in with his wife Emma. I have loved these virtual calls.
The kids did school, Scotty worked and we rested for a bit.  Graham and Taj did a few engineering activities.  I love to watch them create things.

When it got dark, we went back to the falls to see them all lit up.  It was so worth going back to see them colorful.  I feel like we submerged ourselves completely in this experience.  Now it will be just a memory.

Wow, what a jam-packed day! Aren't the Falls amazing? Our son served his mission in Canada, and we all went back a few months later to tour. We were on the Canadian side, and I think it was 4th of July. Both the American and Canadian Falls had lights and fireworks.
