Hello to all of you!!!  We have been so busy.  Late nights and early mornings.  I am about 4 days late posting this so I will try to remember ever thing that has happened.  Before I get into the activities of Friday, I want to add a few funny moments that I don't want to forget.

Ever since Scotty started the grease fire in Nauvoo, my kids won't let him forget it.  Whenever  the song, "We didn't start the Fire" comes on, the kids sing, " Scotty started the fire".  Seriously, every time.  It's hilarious.   Scotty just rolls his eyes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The other night Taj was hungry.  I was already in bed and I over heard his conversation with Scotty.  Taj told Scotty that he was hungry.  Scotty asked him what he wanted.  Taj goes, " I don't know.  Something healthy, like vegetables".  hhahahahhaha I was dying.  What kids asks for vegetables.  Then Yesterday he wanted fruit but the fruit I had bought already went bad.  Taj exclaimed, " I want fruit"!   Again he had me laughing so hard.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                On this trip I have discovered that I love to see rivers, cool bridges and American flags flying.  These have become my favorite things to photograph.  We have some amazing bridges in this country.                                                                                                                                      Now on to Friday!!!!!                                                                                                                       Friday is usually not a school day but we ended up fine tuning work.  Asher finished his work for the week  with great grades.  Graham and Pepper finished their papers and math quizzes.  Taj is really reading great. He can spell 9 of his site words now.

Our campground has a huge pool.  When the kids were done with school they went swimming.  The boys swam laps and Pepper and Taj  played all over.  It was so nice to cool off.  It's hot and humid here.

When Scotty was done with work, we drove into Kansas City to explore.  Cool fact:  Kansas City has the most fountains in the world except for Rome.   Cool Right???                                                                                       I was so excited to see some of the fountains. The first one we saw was the most iconic one.  It is called the J C Nichols Memorial Fountain. I'm not sure why they decided to run yellow Gatorade through it instead of water, but we sure liked the yellow look:)))  hahaha Just kidding, it's water.  But it's yellow!!!!                                               Then we hit the Nelson - Atkins Museum of Art.  The statues outside of the museum   were super fun to see.  At one point Taj was climbing on a statue and a voice came out of no where and told us to get off of the statues.  We finally realized that they had cameras everywhere and were watching us.  We totally got yelled at hahhaha.                                                                                                           Then we walked over to the National WWI Memorial and Museum.  This place is super cool.  They have a really high patio on the roof that you can climb up to and see the whole city.  The sun was setting while we were there so we got to watch the sky change colors.  It was gorgeous.  We got some great pictures.  We wandered around for a while then headed to an ice cream place that was recommended to us called Glace.  Super yummy!!!  Then we headed home for haircuts and packing.  Scotty and Graham are flying to Salt Lake City tomorrow for Aunt Paula's funeral.  We have to leave here at 5 AM sharp.  Oof.
