Wednesday September 23, 2020 Cleveland Art Museum and Welcome to New York!!!!!

Today Scotty and I rode our bikes around Thompson Ohio!!!  While we were riding, I got this crazy idea.  You see, today we are scheduled to drive up to Niagara Falls, New York. The drive is only 3 hours. I kept thinking that I'd like to do one more thing with the Rock's and the Blakes.  I remembered them telling me about the Art Museum in Cleveland and how cool it was.  So this was my idea: Scotty and I would check out of our campground and drive to a truck stop that is very close by.  Then we would unhook the trailer and leave Scotty there to work. (sorry Scotty) Then I'd take the kids into Cleveland to see the art museum. I was hoping that our friends could meet us there for one last party!!!!

When I got home from the bike ride, I called Allison to see if she was game to meet us at the museum. She worked out her kids schooling and they met us there along with Emma from the Blake family.  The truck stop worked out perfectly for Scotty. He got everything done with no problem. We had a really fun day at the art museum, not to mention educational. When we were all done, I picked up Scotty and we drove all the way to Buffalo New York.  When we crossed into New York we blasted Taylor Swift’s Welcome to New York!!!!  Hahaha.  We pulled in around 9:30 PM and set up fast because we were all tired and wanted to go to bed.

This museum was amazing. There were pieces from 100 A.D.  I was blown away.  Graham and Pepper picked their favorite piece of art and next week they will study the artist and the piece.  Asher found pieces that he thought were really cool as well.  Each room was very well put together and so interesting.  I only wish that I could go back and  read every post on every picture and learn more about all the art there.  The museum was free but you have to pay for parking. We had to wear makes and they checked our temperature when we entered.  Part way Taj said that his leg hurt so we got him a stroller, which ended up being from the 18th century and he didn't fit in it.  hahahha. I think that the lamp section was my very favorite. I loved how they pieced together all the lamp shades.

Everyone was starving so we decided to hit a Wendy's.  This location was straight up in the hood.  Allison and I made sure the kids stayed together while we waited 5 years for our food(it seriously took forever) and then while they ate.   After we were done eating we said our goodbyes one last time and parted ways.  I'm so grateful that Allison and Emma were spontaneous and spent today with us.  We will forever remember them and our fun experiences with them.

  1. Amazing art! If you get back to Cleveland go to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. It's interesting.
