Monday September 7, 2020 Hola Kentucky!!!!! Boy do the Fish Bite Here!!!

              This morning we put another state sticker on our country map!!!  Kentucky.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  I have never been to Kentucky nor did I know which state was Kentucky before I planned this trip 😆      The drive to out next campground was so beautiful.  Huge lush, green trees lined the freeways.  Astounding bridges allowed passage over many rivers like the Ohio River and the Green River (which was actually brown).  Then our GPS took us into Mammoth Cave National Park.  Poor Scotty had to pull the trailer through 30 + miles of skinny roads with no shoulders.  He did awesome.  I continue to love and admire him more and more.  Then we arrived at our campground,  Singing Hills RV Park.  Here, we will explore Mammoth Cave National Park and all the surrounding areas until Friday.  I have been extra excited for this stop as I find the cave structures  intriguing.      

 

                                                                                                                                                   Setting up the trailer took more time then usual because leveling the trailer was a bit of an issue.  Usually, all we have to do is push the "Auto Level" button and it levels itself.  For some reason, the slant was too much for the trailer to level by itself.  Scotty figured out how to level it manually.  After that, setting up didn't take too long.  To Taj's complete delight, they have a small pond here with fish and fishing poles that we could borrow for fishing.  Guess what the first thing we did after setting up the trailer?  Yup, we ate dinner 😅 And Taj was about to have a cow because he wanted to go fishing so bad.  We couldn't eat fast enough for him.  Finally, everyone was ready to fish.                                                                                                              The borrowed poles were home made by the campground owner. All the kids cast their lines into the water and guess who caught the first fish??  Pepper!!!!!!  In fact she caught three.  Taj was the next to catch a fish.  He ended up catching three fish.  Graham caught six and Asher only caught one.  It was fun teasing Asher that his fish weren't biting.  He's so fun to tease because he is always teasing everyone else.  After our fishing adventure, we came back to Homie and watched a movie.  Then we all slept in our comfy beds:))))
