This morning we pulled away from one our favorite campgrounds. If you ever go to see Mammoth Cave NP, go and stay at Singing Hills RV in Cave City. You will love it. Our drive was only about 2 1/2 hours today. Scotty had a video call so we had to stop part way through at a truck stop while he worked. Then we drove North East to the city of Corinth. Corinth is about 20 minutes from the Arc Encounter. We have tickets to go there tomorrow!!! I'm so excited.

At our new campground the kids finished their school work for the week. We had outdoor school today:)  Kentucky is so green with huge trees.  There are a lot of bugs here just like the other humid states, but not too bad.

Pepper and Taj got a lesson on how to drill holes.  They were so funny.  Taj loves power tools.  He is such a little man.  Pepper had to give it a try too. She's my tough mama.

Because today was a travel day, we really didn't do too much.  The kids had a lot of energy so we took them out to burn it off. They are always so entertaining to watch.  They can't just run around, they have to jump over things and each other. Seriously, how funny are they.  Then Scotty couldn't help himself, he had to jump over everything too.  hahahhahah.

I had told you all that I would answer questions that you all had and I got a lot of questions so here goes: 1- Do we have emergency bags packed in case you need to leave our home? Our home is mobile so usually if we need to leave we take our home with us. In the case that we have to leave and we can't take our trailer, we don't have 72 hour kits like I do at home in our house. Most RVers are so mobile that anytime there has been a hurricane or something, they just move. 2-How Often do you grocery shop? I shop whenever we need food. Weekly or biweekly. Unless I know that there isn't a grocery store in the next area, I will shop before we travel. 3-What kind of long term emergency food supplies do we have? We actually don't have any long term emergency food supplies. There is no room in the trailer to carry anything extra. Back at home, I have a years supply of food storage that I left, but here we don't have any. 4-What is our emergency plan if you and Scotty are on a run together and the kids are home alone? Or in case of a major storm? If Scotty and I are gone and something happens, the kids have phones and a ways to contact us and us them. If there is a major storm, the campground will alert us and we will either wait out the storm or we will leave to miss the storm. We were caught in a huge hail storm in N. Dakota and we just waited it out. Most of our campgrounds have bath houses that can be used as shelters if necessary. 5-Do you pack emergency bags with you when you are out on long excursions? We always have an emergency pack with us. It has water and food and a first aid kit and some other things. We have had to use the first aid kit quite a bit. 6-What are your typical meals? Meals are very simple. No processed food but simple means such as crock pot chicken and rice, roast, quesadillas, burritos, spaghetti, casseroles, sandwiches and sometimes cereal!!! 7-How often do you eat out? We very rarely eat out. When we eat out it is a special occasion. Being on the road it's easy to gain some unwanted weight so we mainly eat out of our trailer. Our "eat out" budget is small on purpose. 8-How did you budget when you planned the trip? Is it working out accordingly? I did a lot of research to figure out what it would cost us to be on the road full time. It's more expensive then you'd think. So far we are doing well. Sticking to our numbers and still playing and having fun. If it were up to me we'd grow money from trees:)))) 9-Are most of your stops pre-planned or pre-reserved? YES!!!! I had every stop and campground planned by November last year. I have been reserving the campgrounds 6 months in advanced. I put so much work into the planning part of this. It took me around 6-8 months to make our itinerary. 10-Are you limiting souvenirs or do you plan to ship stuff home at some point? I limit what we buy. I don't have room for clutter and I only want things that will help us remember our trip for the next 50 years. If I find something really remarkable, I'll buy it but we stick mainly to magnets, coasters, stickers, mugs and some other fun collectible things. The most memorable things I want from this trip are all my pictures. 11-Did you pack clothes for all seasons? I vacuum packed clothes for all seasons for Scotty and I. The kids are growing so fast that I only packed the current season for them. We will have to get rid of clothes as they grow out of them, then buy new ones as we go. 12- Will you share your itinerary? I don't mind sharing my itinerary. You just have to keep in mind that I picked stops that my family wanted to do. Not everyone would want to do the same things we want to do. 13- How do you get your mail? I have a box at a postal annex in Simi. Sunny there holds on to my mail and sends it to me when I ask her to. The campgrounds are really cool to have mail sent to them. 14-How do you do laundry? I have a washer/dryer combo in the garage. There is no way I would do this trip without that. 15- Do you think you'll ever do this again? YES!!! We are already planning our next trip after Asher leaves for his mission. We really want to do Alaska. That's it!!!! If you have other questions just let me know!!!!
