Sunday August 9, 2020 Happy Sunday and KIM FORTUNA!!!!!!

Another Sunday on the road!!!  We were so blessed to be able to go to church for the third time in a row!!!!  The ward here was meeting and they invited us to join.  Mikayla and Taylor went with us.  We had a wonderful meeting and afterwards we were able to talk to the local members. They were very warm and inviting.  I just love our church. Members all over the world are taught to be kind and loving.  I absolutely love meeting members on our trip.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    We all came back to our trailer and ate a yummy lunch:)  We sat around and talked and laughed and enjoyed each other. My family was so tired this morning. It was so hard to get all of us to church in the morning. We used this time to rest.  Taj and Pepper had so much fun playing with Mikayla and Taylor. Sadly, it had to come to an end.   They had to check out and we had plans to drive an hour to visit friends for the day, so we had to say goodbye and go our separate ways.  I am so grateful that they took time out of their busy lives to come and play with us.  We will always remember that:))                   We packed up the truck and drove an hour to Mishawaka IN.  Kaija and Kyler live there.  And guess who happened to be there visiting????  KIM FORTUNA!!!!!!!     YAY!!!!  I got to see my girl!!!!  Kaija has the cutest house near Notre Dame.  Kyler is doing his PHD at Notre Dame and they live in the best neighborhood.  There are parks within walking distance and splash pads and trials.  She really has a great place to call home.  We arrived and spent some good time catching up.  Then we all drove over to tour the campus of Notre Dame.  PS Kaija's kids fit right in with our family.  Mac and Graham became best friends.  Taj and Mac played  and everyone loved Zander.  We all had to take turns holding him.  He made Scotty baby hungry but I had to remind him that Taj about killed me so no more babies.        The campus of Notre Dame is beautiful.  It has a perfect balance of outdoor lakes and trails and buildings.  The buildings are magnificent. The grounds were beautifully manicured.  The buildings remind me of what you would see in Europe.   We saw the "touchdown Jesus" and their chapel with the stained glass windows.  It took us about 2 hours to walk around everywhere. I was super impressed with what I saw.  They do a great job of keeping the campus feeling calm and peaceful.   It was super hot so all the kids were tired and thirsty by the end.

We drove back to Kajia's house for dinner.  Kim made a yummy spaghetti dinner.  We ate, talked and enjoyed our friendships.  So fun!!!  My kids played with Kajia's kids.  They made us homemade ice cream and we sat outside on the patio watching fire flies.  What a beautiful memory this was.
hahahah Scotty fell asleep on the porch swing.  I just love him:)

We had to drive back and get ready to travel again.  Tomorrow we are back on the road.
