Friday August 21,2020 6 Flags Above St Louis

This morning Scotty and I found some trails up above the 6 Flags here.  We drove up to explore them.  Scotty rode and I ran.  He was so amazing to break all the spider webs for me 😛 The trails were beautiful and we enjoyed time alone together.

Lucky boys!!!  They got to spend the whole day at 6 Flags together.  It was great for them to be able to have a day together and it was fabulous for me to have a break from teenage boys :))))  I asked them to take 20 pictures for me hoping that I'd get at least 5.  Well, I got one.  Their report was that this 6 Flags is totally different from our 6 Flags in Los Angeles.  The rides are all different.  They couldn't decide which one they liked better.  I'm just glad that they had a great day together.

While the boys were having fun at 6 Flags, I had to get an oil changed for the truck.  We played in the waiting room for 2 hours. It seriously took forever.  Doug (our truck) is all good and ready to put more miles on:)))

Here are a few pictures of our campground.  One thing that we have liked is that all of our campgrounds have these cute cabins that you can book if you don't have an RV.  So if you want to travel but you don't want to stay in a hotel, check campgrounds for cabins:)))

Tonight we went to Route 66 State Park.  It is the same old Route 66.  Just like in Cars!!!!  We found a lot of trails and started exploring them.  Unfortunately, the park closed so we had to leave.  Tomorrow we are going to go back and explore it more.  So far we are loving how green and lush Missouri is.  It's beautiful here with a tranquil feeling lingering in the air.  I love how people here take life one step at a time. We are so fast paced in California.  It's nice to slow down:)))

  1. I feel like you've gone to fairyland. How awesome that the boys got to experience 6 Flags--and that a real amusement park was open! We still have so many things closed down here, and of course the concern of wildfires. Happy, happy trails.
