Saturday August 1, 2020 Lake Michigan

We are staying in a little town named Plymouth.  It is super close to Sheboygan.  On my run today I took these pictures of the country homes. They are so cute and quaint.

Scotty went on a bike ride while I was running.  At the end of his ride he rode out to find me.  Then he stayed with me until I was done running.

Our campground is 2 minutes from Road America.  This weekend they had huge road races.  We saw a lot of really nice race cars coming and going.  Our kids aren't into  seeing the races so we didn't buy tickets to go.  We just drove by to see the cars racing. The family camping next to us is from the UK and their son raced all weekend.  He said that he finished P6. Whatever that means:))0

Our plan for the day was to play at the beach.  We actually wanted to surf in Lake Michigan but there was no surf.  I have to admit, I was a bit grumpy because I was disappointed. The whole reason why we came here was to surf Lake Michigan.  Scotty and I agreed that we should just  make it a beach day.  First we had to stop at Pick'n Save to get sustenance.  Then we drove to spend a beautiful day at the beach.                                                                                                                            Now, I'd like to turn the time over to Graham for this episode of Skateparcationacrossthenation. . . . . .
Hi. This is Graham here.  In this tiny town we saw at least 5 houses that either looked like a castle or should have just fallen down 100 years ago. It all looks a lot different from the houses in California.

We have the best dad but seriously, who wears a t-shirt to the beach? Do you think he is trying to hide his farmers tan????
                                                            I believe I can fly!

This was cool. A giant walk way that seperated rough water from calm water.   At the end was a light house. Dad and Pepper walked out to it.

When you're at the beach you have to bury someone or some two.

                                                            Want a ghost pepper?

Mom was having a "bad day" so I posed as if I was surfing to make her feel better.   No surf happened but it was still a cool pic.

These are the people that yelled at us for feeding the birds. I wanted to catch a seagull but they got all mad.  They didn't want to get pooped on.  They were really rude.

We were on the blue dot on the map.  This lake is really big.

  1. Cool! Sorry I haven't commented. We've been in Spokane, Washington taking care of my mother-in-law. Hey Graham, it's nice that you took over for your mom a bit--great reporting. I love the light house and all of your adventures. In our guest bath hangs a picture that I took of a lighthouse just outside of Chicago. I forget the name of it. Yes, you do have a great dad and mom. Stay safe, and enjoy your travels.
