Monday August 3, 2020 Goodbye Sheboygan Hello Chicago!!!!

This morning Scotty and Johnathon went surfing in Lake Michigan.  That was the whole reason why we made this stop.  Scotty said that it was awesome.  He loved surfing in the fresh water.  The waves were gentle and he came back feeling fresh and happy:)).  I went running really early.  We both left Sheboygan feeling ready for anything!!!!!

     

We drove from Plymouth to Milwaukee and stopped there to see one of my college friends Linda!!!  We met her at a small restaurant called Kopps. Everyone said it was a must do. They had lots of cow statues there.  Weird.   It was so great to see Linda.  We haven't seen each other since Asher was 1 or so.  We spent a couple hours catching up then said goodbye so we could finish our drive to Chicago.   

We crossed the state line into Illinois!!!!!!!!  This is the 10th state we've explored in our trip.   

Around 3 PM we arrived at our KOA and set up camp.  The night was spent relaxing and playing games.  We have a lot to explore this week so we need to rest. Chicago will never be the same after the LaBass family!!!!
