Last night we decided to stay at the hotel even though we got the spare tire on our truck because there are no tire places close to our campground. We figured that we were in a good place to get what we needed for our truck in the morning. We all tried to sleep the best we could in the hotel. In the morning we got free breakfast!!! That was super exciting for everyone. Then we headed out to Auto Zone. They didn't have the tool we needed for the truck so we called the Ford dealership that was only 3 miles away. They told us to order it online so we will do that. The next thing we had to figure out was where to get a new tire. We called America's Tires and they explained to us that with a dully, you can't just replace one tire. You have to replace both of them in the back. They didn't have the tires on hand, so they ordered them for us. The guy said that we were OK to drive slowly back to our campground for the day. The only thing they were worried about was that the spare tire was new with new tread. Our tires have low tread so the two tires would be off. He said to just drive slow. We all drove carefully back to our trailer. When we walked in I heard the kids say that they were glad to be home. I felt the same way. I loved the bigger bathroom in the hotel but it felt so good to be back home. We didn't do much today. Just cleaned and hung out. Tomorrow we will drive to get the new tires and I am really hoping that we can hit one museum in Chicago before we leave. We shall see how it all unfolds.
