August 2, 2020 Happy Sunday!!!!

Today we were super excited because we got to go to church!!!!!!!  The Sheboygan ward met and they invited us to join them. We were so excited to gather with the saints again this week. Taj was over joyed.   

      After church, one of the families, the Pond family,  started asking us questions about our journeys.  We talked to them for a while.  Then another family came up and told us that they were from Simi Valley.  What?????  We have found yet another family from Simi.  Do any of you recognize these people???  This is Tom and Janae Allen.  They lived in Simi for a long time.  How small is the world??? The City of Sheboygan!!!                                                

Then Johnathon and Anjenette Pond invited us to go to their house so Scotty could borrow a surf board to go surfing tomorrow.  We got there and we sort of invaded their house.  hahahha. They had a trampoline so the kids went out and did some flips.  We ended up staying for a few hours. We did Come Follow Me with them and spent some quality time talking and laughing.  Anjenette and I decided that we are the same in so many ways.  Both of us love yellow. We both have the same ideas about video games and cell phones and even sleep overs.  Even though we spent a short few hours with them, I feel like we made life long friends.   Johnathon is an orthopedic surgeon and he looked at Asher's collar bone and his elbow.  He took Asher to get a quick image to see what Asher did to his elbow last year.  Well, apparently Asher broke his elbow back when we were in Utah. Last year we took Asher up to Utah to go to EFY.  The day before he went in to EFY, he crashed on his scooter and hurt his elbow.   He reassured me that if we would have gotten his elbow imaged back then that they would have treated it the same way that we treated it.  We put him in a sling and let it heal the best it could.  He said that that is what they would have done.  So, as of now, Asher has broken 2 bones.  That explains so much.  Thank you Johnathon for your help.  

When we got home, we ate dinner and drove each other crazy all night. We had to pack up in the rain because we leave tomorrow.  The plan is for Scotty to go surfing in the morning with Johnathon, then we will leave to visit Chicago!!!!
