Happy Sabbath to all of you!! We/I really needed this day to rest. Unfortunately, most of the first half of the day I had serious intentions of taking Asher far, far away and dropping him off in the middle of no where. Then my plan was to drive off so fast that he couldn't catch me. But my smart brain knew that he was just like those dogs in those movies, he would find his way back home. So, I decided to handle him like an adult and have a chit chat with him. :))) Yes, it was one of those days with him again. After our talk he seemed much better and I forgave him so we all moved on. Today for our Come Follow Me we finished studying Alma's words about faith and testimonies growing from a seed to a large plant. We've been reading about it all week. It was so wonderful to be on a crop farm so we could see actual plants and compare their growth to faith. We had a pretty good lesson even with Asher on his worst behavior.
After our church meetings we made a yummy dinner and ate Oreo pie to top it off. Then our neighbor, Phil, came over and offered his quads for us to ride. So we all went outside and rode quads on the farm, played baseball and tennis. We couldn't believe how beautiful the farm was. The sky was blue and the crops were green. We felt so happy to be there and to be together. Families are the most important unit here on earth and in heaven. We need to keep fighting to keep our family units sacred.

It sounds like you're meeting some great people! What a lovely Sabbath on the farm. That worked out perfectly for this week's lesson.
ReplyDeleteHi Asher! We are thinking of you and know it can be tough not to be around your friends, your cool pool and home as a teenager (who's parents aren't as cool as your friends :) Send Bodie a text, snap or whatever you all do. He is kind of bored as well. If you need his number have your mom text me.
