Wednesday July 8, 2020 - Badlands Part II

Today was wonderful.  We had a blast exploring the Badlands Loop.  It's pretty amazing that on one end of the loop you see these tall peaks then on the other end there are these deep valleys.  We climbed on everything we could and basically chased Taj everywhere.  He is in heaven here.  

I found this huge vein of copper.  

We got out of the car to see this valley.  Before we knew it Taj was on his way down to the valley floor.  Asher ran to catch him and help him down. Then Graham joined them. They made it all the way down.  Everyone watching said they couldn't believe that my 5 year old hiked all the way down there.  He's crazy.  

We found a picnic place at the bottom of the valley.  We were surrounded by the beautiful valley. It was a pretty cool place to eat lunch.

                                                                            The evening was spent playing and eating mushy spaghetti :). Then when it got dark we went over to the visitors center and had an astronomy class.  It was dark so I didn't take any pictures.  We really enjoyed seeing all the stars and learning more about our galaxy.
