Thursday July 23, 2020 Voyageurs NP- Rainy Lake

I ran through Rainier this morning.  Here are pictures of the town.  It's super small but really cute.  It borders Rainy Lake which is part of Voyageurs NP!!!                                                                                   

    Today we explored a small part of Rainy Lake. We didn't get on a boat, we just hung out around the visitors center.  We also found that the City Beach that we loved so much the other day is part of Rainy Lake!!!  So we decided to hang out at the beach and call that our "exploring" this part of the NP.  hahahha.  We BBQ'd hamburgers and played in the water.  I do have to say  - the kids here have the worst potty mouths that I've ever heard.  At the skate park and here at the beach, the kids swore worse than ever.  Every other word is the "F" word and the other words they say are the other swear words.  I was like, "Really"???  I don't enjoy potty mouths.  Anyways, even with the potty mouths, we had a really nice day.  And, we were so glad that Scotty could come with us today.

We found out the deal with the piano!!!  Apparently there is this society that takes pianos, paints  them, then places them all over the city to be enjoyed and played.  We should do this in Simi:)))

                                                                                              We hit the local ice cream shop in town.  Nothing special but eating it on the lake and saying "Eh" to Canada was fun!!!
