Today was such a beautiful and busy day. We started off the day with special visitors!!!!! When Pepper went to Bridges Charter School, she made the cutest friend named Faith. Faith and her family happen to be out here in South Dakota and we decided to hook up and play. These are our friends the Hussey Family. Lloyd, Joelle, Faith, Gabby and Edan. They met us at our trailer in the morning. We all took off from there to go see Mt. Rushmore together.
Scotty and Asher rode their bikes up to the monument. We met them there. Mt. Rushmore is everything and more that I thought it would be. It is beautiful.

| This is the city of Keystone that you have to drive through to get to Rushmore. |

| There were so many people there today. It was very crowded. This was the line to get in. |

We found the sister missionaries there.

We could have stayed there all day but we had other things that we wanted to see and do today. When it was time, we drove over to Crazy Horse monument. We couldn't get out and go explore so we just drove by and took pictures.

We were in a hurry because we wanted to go to Bear Country USA before it closed. The Hussey's met us there. This place is a "drive through" zoo. You have to stay in your car and drive through the park to see all the animals. They have so many bears. We saw big horned sheep, timber wolves, dall sheep, arctic wolves, reindeer, rocky mountain elk, mountain lions, mule deer and so so much more. One bear walked right behind our car and sat there for a while. We were dying. It was quite the adventure.

Here is the bear that was behind our car. He was right behind our bikes
The zoo also has a short area that you can walk around to see other animals. We loved that on one end the cubs were wrestling and on the other end my kids were wrestling. Crazy kids.

Wrestling bears. . . wrestling children

Wow! That was a jam-packed day. Historic places, friends, and even sister missionaries. I'm sure a 4th your family will be talking about for decades to come.
