Saturday October 31, 2020. Happy Halloween and Harper’s Ferry

                                             Happy Halloween!!!!!!

We spent the day in Harpers Ferry.  It was spooky!!!!!  hahahah

Harpers Ferry is in West Virginia so by going there, we got to mark off West Virginia for the trip!!!!!! yay!!!!

Harpers Ferry is famous for being the initiator of the Civil War.  John Brown was an abolitionist who led a raid on the Federal Armory. He tried to arm slaves, who didn't arm themselves.  Brown's group all died.  Brown himself, was hanged.  The tension from his death and raid was the catalyst for the Civil War.  Interesting right??

The Potomac runs by this area.  It is such a beautiful river.  We got to walk on part of the Appellation Trail for a little bit too. We seriously had a wonderful day.

Did I mention that it is cold??? It's freezing!!! I'm dying.  Our California bodies aren't used to cold like this.  hahahah.  I know, we are babies:))

We got back home on time for all of us to eat dinner and for the kids to go Trick or Treating.  I am kicking myself for not getting a picture of the kids dressed up.  The only picture I got was one of all them home, counting their candy.  Oof.  Tiffany made the best hamburgers and hotdogs!!! We are truly blessed to be able to spend this time with the Deskins!!!!
