Fort Lauderdale has been one of my favorite places we've been to so far. I could live here. If we had more family here, and if Scotty would agree, I'd say we are moving here. I wish!!!
Today was a travel day and we were all super tired. I called the front desk and got us a late check out so we could take our time getting out. We deep cleaned and organized places that needed it. We took our time and didn't rush. At one point Scotty found an ancient Indian burial ground that was in a park close by. We had to see it before we left. We took Pepper and Taj and drove over there. Right in the middle of the park was a solo sign stating that about 5,000 years ago ancient Indians lived here and buried their dead here. There were also circle shaped plaques in the sidewalk that told more of the story. It was worth the detour.
Here is our magnet collection now!! These are the best!!!
Our newest addition!
We finally left Fort Lauderdale around 3 PM. We drove about 3 hours south, down to the Florida Keys!!! This drive was cool!!! We left the main land and drove on bridges to get from Island to Island. We drove through Key Largo!! Hahahahah. Yes we sang the song!!
Our campground is on the island of Marathon. It's called the Jolly Roger RV Resort. This place is packed. When we drove in , we had to back into our spot and it was tough because it was so tight. Scotty and I did a good job though. We have learned a lot about how to back our beast in. Homie is amazing, just huge. After we got all set up, we ate dinner. We were all starving.
We had to cut branches from this tree to get in our spot. You're not supposed to cut the trees, but we didn't want it to puncture our roof, so we did. Then Scotty and Asher took the evidence and hid it Hahahahah.
Tomorrow is a full day and we needed food so Scotty and I hit the local Publix. We got these ginormous avocados from Cuba. Have you ever seen avocados this big???

I had the funniest dream about you guys just before I woke up. It was Sunday, and we were at another family's home. They passed the sacrament, and the bread was actually chocolate cookies, and it was passed by their little boy (I forget his name) who was definitely not deacon age. Then we turned on your blog which was going to be a live video. You guys were also doing your home church. Taj comes around the corner from your kitchen island with the sacrament tray, and it's also chocolate cookies. Haha!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the beautiful keys! Yes, those avocados are ginormous.
