Sunday June 20, 2021 - Happy Fathers Day!!!

We love Father's Day because we love our fathers!!!  We love our daddy Scotty! We love our grandpa's Bob and Joe.  We love our Great Grandpa Papa Roland and we love our Heavenly Father.  What a great day to celebrate the most amazing men in our lives!

This morning we made Scotty his favorite omelet and gave him Glacier NP gifts!!  I searched and searched, but there wasn't a ward to go to that was close enough.  So, we did church on our own today!  No picture, oops.

Glacier National Park is a really hard park to get KOA reservations for.  I had a hard time getting the ones that I did.  You have to book your reservations like 2 years in advanced.  The only combination of reservations for East and West Glacier that worked, was to travel today :(. We didn't want to but there wasn't anywhere else for us to go to, and East Glacier didn't have a spot for us today. So, we packed up and left our Heavenly East Glacier.  The kids said goodbye to their friends.  Seriously, how many friends have they made on the trip??  They have made so many!  They have friends all over the US now:)). That is pretty cool if you ask me:)

Our next destination was down at West Glacier.  The West Glacier KOA was super hard to get reservations for as well.  And I even got the reservations like 10 months ago.  Sheesh.  The RV industry has gone crazy since Covid hit.  People figured out that they can travel while they work remote so everyone and their dog is RV'ing now.  It's really hard to get into the national parks these days.  Anyways, we arrived at the West Glacier KOA and let me tell you, this campground is the best one we have stayed at during the entire trip. It is classified as a Resort KOA.  That just means that this place is the bomb.com :)))

Letting off steam:))

The KOA has a short walking trail around the site that the boys found jumps on.  They were stoked.

Isn't this campground beautiful??  It really is.   We are only here until Wednesday.  Since Scotty has to work all week, we decided to drive up into Glacier from this end today so he could see the park:).  Stunning.  Both the East  and the West side are absolutely stunning.  We were all in awe at the beauty that surrounded us.  The Going to the Sun Road isn't fully open yet due to road maintenance.  They were removing snow on the road, now they are fixing parts of the street and guard rails.  Because it's closed, we could only drive up about 12 miles.  We still got amazing views of Lake McDonald and the river that dumps into it (I can't remember it's name).

What is she doing with that puppet?
