Friday June 4, 2021 Skatepark and Civic Arts Center

RV life anyone??  Isn't this paradise??  I love this picture. Homie looks so amazing;)).

Our state map!!  We have Idaho and Montana left.  Then we follow the 15 all the way down back to California.  This trip has gone so fast for us.

Here are a few picture I took on my run this morning.  I love this area.  Turns out, there is a marathon this Sunday.  If only it was on Saturday, then I totally would have run it.  I ran a part of it and saw the 18 mile marker.
If you read the Twilight series, the city of Forks is about an hour and a half away from here. In the story, all the kids go to the beach in Port Angeles. That’s where we are πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»  I didn’t torture the kids and make them drive out to the Twilight sites πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

The skatepark here was such a huge hit that today the kids wanted to go back to it.  I am still recovering from driving here, I'm tired.   Instead of planning a full day, I called in a rest day.  Well, the rest day was for me, the kids still got out and played.

Graham met a few bikers at the skatepark and they told us about these incredible jumps up the road.  Graham was so excited about them that we had to check them out.  When we got there, we were totally impressed.  These jumps were incredible.  The only problem was that there was a chain locking the first run that led to all the jumps.  We couldn't figure out how to open the lock, so Graham didn't ride :(. We left a bit disappointed but it's probably OK, the jumps were pretty big.

After the jumps, we went for a walk through the Civic Arts Center.  The Center had an outdoor area where people made art.  It was sort of entertaining, but not really.

After the Arts Center, I went home to rest and Scotty took the kids back to the skatepark.  We are falling in love with this part of Washington.  The peninsula is lush and full of beauty.  There are lots of biking and running trails.  Perfect for our family!
