Thursday May 27, 2021 - Newport, Oregon

Today is our last day here in Newport/Walport Oregon.  I went running in the morning and the kids slept in until like 1:30 PM.  Holy Cow!! They slept like forever!!  They both (Asher and Graham)  woke up taller so I'm guessing they need all that extra teenage sleep:))). It's all good with me.  It's summer for them:)

Since the kids slept in, they were sluggish all day.  They really didn't want to go out and do anything.  In fact, Asher didn't want to do anything so bad, that he offered to babysit while Scotty and I go out together alone:). I was all in:))).

Scotty and I got to spend the evening in Newport;)). We first visited the lighthouse that was right off of the 5 freeway.  From the lighthouse, we walked down to the beach and meandered around.

Yaquina Bay Lighthouse

After the beach, we walked downtown around Nye Beach.  We found Nana's Pub!!  Hahhahaa. Nana, we didn't know you had a pub??  ;).

Nye Beach area is super cute.  Lots of shops and restaurants.  We had a fun time walking around and going into the shops that were open.

We found this store.  It was established the same year I was:)))

Get that dragon Scotty!!!!

Scotty and I found this really cool slide.  It is super long and started on a pirate ship!  We felt like kids when we slid down it.

For dinner, we ate at Pacific Kitchen, right on the beach.  It was delicious and so great to be together and stare into each others eyes. Hahaha. After our date, we worked as a family to pack up the trailer.  Tomorrow is a travel day for us!!  Moving on!!
