Wednesday May 26, 2021 Oregon Aquarium, Seal Rock, Skate Park and the Coast

This morning we went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium!!  The aquarium was cute and had a lot of fun things to look at.  We enjoyed it but I have to say, after going to the aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia, no other aquarium will live up to that one.  It was still a fun thing to do for the morning hours.

Indulge!! Oh please.  This place had the best ice cream, cookies and candy.  The yummies ever!!!  We totally indulged:)))

On our way home, we stopped by Seal Rock.  Wow!!  If it wasn't so cold, we would have love to kayak out to the rocks and explore them.  This place is cool.

Once we got to Homie, everyone ate lunch then we were out again to the local skatepark. This park was small but that didn't matter.  All the kids had fun and they met some really cool locals.

When Scotty was done working, we grabbed him and went out for dinner!!  There was a yummy Mexican place right in Waldport so we ate there.  When we parked our truck, we saw a young girl sitting by her car eating out of a can.  It was clear that she was homeless.  I mentioned to Scotty that maybe we should bring her dinner.  Next thing I know, Scotty had gone over to her and invited her to dinner with our family.  Hahahaha.  Boy, the kids were thrown for a loop on this one.  It's super easy to just give homeless people food and such, but to spend time with them is a bit harder.  Scotty assured me that he talked to her to make sure she wasn't mentally unstable or unsafe for the family in any way.  She sat with our family in the restaurant and talked to us and told us her story.  The kids didn't say much.  After dinner was over, she thanked us and then Scotty jump started her car.  The kids were a bit unhappy that they felt uncomfortable during dinner.  I agreed that it was weird having a homeless person eat dinner with us, but that they needed to learn how to function when they were uncomfortable.  We were in no danger and I thought it was good to get them out of their comfort zones.  Anyways, it was a learning experience and Ronnie got a hot meal.

After dinner, we drove down the coast to Thor's Well.  This is another one of those things that when the tide is high, water sprays really high.  And again, the tide was low for us.  So we made the best out of it and played in the tide pools.  This was another lovely evening on the Oregon Coast.
