Sunday May 2, 2021 - Church in Oakland, Pancakes, Rest and Pack

This morning we got up early, dressed for church then drove over the Bay Bridge into Oakland to go to church with President and Hermana Hoopes!!  How cool is it that! 20 + years later I get to go to church with my mission president!!  

Here we all are.  These two are seriously the best!!  They surprised us by inviting us over for breakfast after church.  We were so in!!!  

The kids helped make the breakfast.  Graham made the waffles.  Asher set the table, made the sausages and helped clean all the dishes after.  Pepper, Taj and Scotty went outside looking for eggs from the chickens and found horses!!  We made yummy syrup and eggs. It was seriously so wonderful.  We all left with our stomachs and hearts full.  Asher and Graham both commented that they feel like President and Hermana Hoopes felt more like grandparents to them.  That is a true test of the character of those two.  My kids love them like I do!!!  I want to be just like them when I grow up.  

Back at the trailer, we rested most of the day.  Then in the evening, we packed up because our day to leave "Homeless town" has finally come.  Yes, we had a blast, but Yes,  we are ready to go.
