Saturday May 8, 2021 - Travel Day to Lassen Volcanic National Park CA

Around 9 AM this morning, we drove away from our "rest" stop!!
It was a Saturday, so Scotty drove.  I got to rest!!

Our drive was only 250 miles. . but . . . it took all day.  We basically drove on country, winding roads.  We had many ascents and descents.  These take a lot longer while pulling the trailer.  I think we pulled over twice to let the brakes cool off - just in case.  It was a long day.  We didn't pull into our new KOA until 5:30 PM.

Break check stop!

Scotty and I found this little stream during our stop.

Lunch and gas stop!

Here we are!  Our new KOA near Lassen Volcanic National Park in northern California

We seriously got the very best spot of the whole campground!

The first thing we did upon arrival was to wash Homie.  He was so dirty.

Look at this spot!  We have tons of space and our own little patio area with table, chairs and a grill!

Guess who met us here??? Yes!! My parents!!  They drove up to meet us for a couple stops again.  It's always fun to have them.  My dad was very excited to give Asher a new Bass Pro Shop hat.  If you remember. . . Asher lost his last one to the waterfall by Bass Lake.  Thank you Papa.

Asher and Graham washed Homie and Doug.  It always feels so good when they are cleaned!

Hi Daddy:)) I need a pictures of grandma.

Our awesome patio area!!
