The Beautiful St. George Temple. Ahhhh I love it.
We've had a memorable time here in St. George with my parents. But just like every other stop, it's time to move on.
Initially, we were scheduled to head to Great Basin National Park in Nevada. Well, Scotty and I changed our minds. We decided that we wanted to hit Joshua Tree National Park instead. I made all the arrangements and then it was time to go. Scotty pulled Homie out of the campground. We really liked the location of this campground, it was just super tight. I had to drive today so Scotty could work.
My dad came to say goodbye to all of us. We were all sad. It's hard to say goodbye.
We can't believe that we are back in California. We've been to so many places and have explored our country. It's hard to believe that our trip is 3/4 of the way done. Welcome home to us!!

We left at about 9:30 AM Utah time. We didn't arrive to our KOA in Joshua Tree until about 6 PM. Remember that we gained an hour when we went into Nevada. Why did it take so long?? Well, for one, the drive normally should have taken about 7 hours. Then we had to stop for an hour and a half in Prim so Scotty could take a video call. After that we were driving down to Palm Springs and saw a car with guys standing outside on the side of the road. One of the guys waved at us like they needed help. Immediately, Scotty and I were touched by the spirit to stop and see if we could help. I pulled the trailer over and Scotty ran down to them to see what was up. They had a shredded tire and needed help putting their spare on. They had no tools and were stuck. Fortunately, we had all the tools!! Graham and Scotty collected all the tools necessary to change the tire and walked down to help them. It only took about 45 minutes from the time I pulled over until we took off again. They were fast. These guys were from Oregon and were out to have a fun vacation. One of them called us their saviors. I like to think of it as we were their angels for the day:)). They wanted to thank us by giving us some Whiskey. I explained that we don't drink. Then Graham piped up and said, "Just pay it forward". Don't you love that. He has learned the "pay it forward" mentality. We have had so many angels help us on our trip, it was nice to be on the other side and to help others in their dire circumstances.

As we arrived at our KOA, we were all SO happy to get out of the truck. Oh man, we were in there all day. This KOA is special to us. About a year ago, we drove to AZ to buy Homie. On our way home we made an impulsive stop at a campground to make sure we could use all the systems of Homie. This is the campground we stopped at. This is the very first campground that we slept in Homie!!! How fun to be back but this time, with lots of experience under our belts!!
Here is our updated travel map. I can't believe how much ground we have covered!!! Our country really is amazing!!
I think my comment disappeared. I’m glad Homie is feeling at home. 😊. You’ve all had quite a journey. Will we see you in person at Church this week???? ❤️
