Tuesday March 16, 2021 - Another Snow Day

Snow pilled up last night while we slept.  We woke up to bright, new snow everywhere and cold, chilly air.  Honestly, I'm over the snow by now.  A few days is fine, but man I'm done.  Not done with the Grand Canyon, just the snow and cold.  We live in California for a reason :). 

I got out to run when it warmed up a little.  We are at 7,000 feet in altitude here on the South Rim.  The North Rim is at 8,000 feet.  I think my body is getting used to the altitude when I run.  I was able to run faster today and I felt great.  Graham and Taj have had a harder time adjusting.  They both have had stomach aches and felt dizzy at different points.  I've made sure that they stay hydrated and rest as needed.  Today was one of those days, they rested.  We did school and rested all day.  I did get them all out for a short walk along the Rim Trail but besides that, we played games, watched movies and stayed warm in the trailer.
