Thursday March 18, 2021 - Travel Day to Las Vegas

Happy / Sad Travel Day to us.  Happy to leave the cold, sad to leave the Grand Canyon and all its majesty.

Today we completed our East loop of the trip.  We have circled back to where we started.  If you've been following us, then you know that this was our very first stop on the trip, Sams Town KOA in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We can't believe that we are back here.  It's a weird feeling.  Time has gone so fast that it's hard to believe all that we've done in just 10 months.  Only four months remain on our trip.  Scotty and I agree that this feeling of, " Oh wow!  Our trip is done in just four months", is just like how we felt on our missions when the time came to go home.  We were happy to go back home to certain things, but so very sad that the wonderful experience of a mission would be over.  We feel the exact same now, excited to go home to see those we love, so very sad to leave this magical experience.

One common factor about our trip is that every time we travel from one destination to the next with the trailer, we have hit road work.  EVERY SINGLE TIME.  I'm not kidding.  The US is in constant road work.  We were driving to Las Vegas and I was worried that our streak would be broken because we hadn't hit road work and we were almost to our campground.  Then I saw the orange cones!! I was excited to not break our streak!!  ahahahahaha.

Sams Town KOA.  We are back!!!

From the snow to the pool!!!  Pepper and Taj couldn't help themselves, they had to go swimming.  I fully supported that ;) No snow for us!!!

Here is our map with our East Coast Loop all done!!!  Look at all those places and memories!!

After Homie was all set up, Doug had to go to the shop, we had a slow leak in our tire.  The dudes at America's Tires found a nail.  So that makes for 3 flat tires on the trip!!  After Doug was all fixed, we drove over to see Shelly my cousin.  If you remember Abe and Isaac from Virginia, Shelly is their sister.  I absolutely love my cousins.  They are my favorites!!!

The kids took Shelly's phone and did their own pictures :)) hahahaha

Chanelle, Lena and Pepper.  Cousin love!!!

Sakis and Nikos.  I love my Greek family!!

Scotty and I, Sakis and Shelly!!!

The cousin kids!!

Shelly gave Pepper a "Whatever" beanie so now all three of us have one!!  Thanks Shelly!!

I have a feeling that Shelly and I chose each other in heaven.  She is my favorite.  We had so much with them that we didn't want to leave.  Finally, we left at 11:30 PM. We got home at 12 AM.  Oh man, we were so tired.
