Scotty and I ran along the Rim Trail together this morning. We felt so spoiled to be exercising in such a magnificent place!!
We are on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. There is a quaint little village here. As far as I know, the North Rim is pretty bare. The South Rim has many trails, restaurants, hotels, shuttles, gift shops and much more to do. We took the kids to explore the Rim Trail today. It was very cold. The snow didn't stop either. It snowed for part of the day. We walked as far as Taj and Pepper could along the Rim Trail. Then we jumped on the shuttles to see the rest of the stops along the Rim Trail. This place is incredible. Scotty and I really want to go down in the canyon. We might try a short hike down later.
I booked us a week here. I'm so glad I did because of the weather. The snow has made it hard to really explore. We will get sunny days next week which will give us the chance to explore more. As for now, we just need to wait out all the snow storms.
Ya know?? When I made our itinerary, I tried really hard to make sure that we didn't hit any snow. This is our third time camping in the snow. I listen to RV Podcasts where people plan to "Snow Camp" on purpose. Well, we didn't plan this on purpose but we are getting our feel of "Snow Camping". I'm just so glad that our trailer is equip for cold/hot weather. We have stayed warm and healthy.
Elk roam free all over the place.

So beautiful! You must really enjoy having "home" be in one place for awhile. I still can't get over all of those animals and how close they are!
