Friday March 12, 2021 - Snow and the Grand Canyon!!

We woke up this morning and looked outside and look what we saw!!! Snow everywhere!!!  We had about 3-4 inches of snow on Doug.  Homie kept us very warm and he didn't freeze at all.  We have the best trailer.

Pepper and Taj couldn't help themselves so they suited up and went out to make snow angels and throw snow balls!!!

Our campground is fabulous.  The location is approximately one mile from the Rim Trail of the Grand Canyon.  Homie fit right in his spot with plenty of room and we have full hook ups.  Here are a few pictures of our campground.  It's called the Trailer Village RV Park.

The General Store is within walking distance.

The kids and I got all bundled up and walked the mile to the Rim Trail to see the Grand Canyon.  Paved trails connect our campground to the Rim Trail. I have to say.  This place is a must do and see.  We have fallen  in love with this National Park.

And there she is in all her grandness!!!

The kids and I walked about a four mile loop today.  All the kids were blown away when they first saw the Grand Canyon, as was I.  This place is so breath taking that we were left pondering our small insignificant lives compared to the grandiose that we witnessed today.  All the trails were snowy and icy so we stuck to the main Rim Trail.

We saw elk everywhere.

Taj got tired so Asher used his strength to help carry Taj home.

After Scotty was done working, I took him up to the Rim Trail.  He just stood there in awe when he saw the canyon.

I just love this man!!!

We want so bad to do the Rim to Rim trail but we can't do it this trip.  We will defiantly plan a trip next year to come and do the whole trail.  This canyon sure puts life into perspective.  It helped us to look at our lives and think about what really matters and what we can let go and ways that we can show more mercy to others.

  1. Gorgeous, and look how close you are to that elk!!! Is this north or south rim? I was a north rim briefly years ago. When you get home you'll have to dedicate one room as your adventure space and "wallpaper" the walls with some of your great photos. It was great to see you for Zoom RS too!
