Monday January 11, 2021 - JFK Memorial Sites

Graham got up with me today to run.  He's my protector!!!  It was cold but absolutely beautiful this morning!!

School was the first thing on our agenda today.  We only worked until 12 PM because at that point, we left for Dallas.  Today we are going to visit the memorial of JFK.  Did you know that the "F" stands for Fitzgerald?  hahaha. We didn't.  Now we do:) The kids kept singing, "JFK, blown away, what else do I have to say", from the song We Didn't Start the Fire hahaha

Here we are in Dallas.  We wondered around for a while just because we wanted to see everything.  

These are sister missionaries that we talked to for awhile.  They were visiting the JFK stuff for their PDay.  

JFK was shot on Elm street

Here is the spot that JFK got shot.  No cars were coming on the road so we took a picuture.  

The right window, second down from the top, was the window that he got shot from. There is a box in the window so you can see which one it was.  

Here is the memorial for JFK.  It's a hug box shaped monument.

We sat down and ate lunch in front of the monument.

Our second stop for the day was at a local skatepark that was 1 mile away from our campground. The kids really liked this park.  They all said it was planned really well.  They all did their tricks and only left because I was starving and made them leave.  They could have stayed all day!!

After dinner, Pepper lost a tooth!!!

We had another donut night!!!  Krispy Kreme is literally right across the street from us. Dangerous I know but oh so yummy!!
