Graham is SO excited to be doing school here;)))))
School school school. . . . We did school!!!
When school was over, we hit the local skatepark!!!  I keep saying that I need to count all the skateparks we've been to on this trip.  One day when I'm really bored, I'll do it:))))
Waco Skatepark was cool.  Some of the local skateboarders were more like the ones from CA, grumpy.  Skaters in CA are super grumpy towards scooter kids.  There is this unwritten hatred between skaters and scooter kids in CA.  We seriously only found this in CA.  Any other state in the US hasn't been that way.  In fact, on the west coast the skaters were so cool.  They all cheered for the scooter kids and they took videos of my boys.  I guess as we get closer to CA, the attitude will slowly emerge.  I did talk to a few skater guys and they were cool.  Only a few skater kids were grumpy.  Who knows why???

We ate dinner tonight with the cutest family that we met at church on Sunday.
This was the view we had driving to dinner

We met Molly, Ben and their baby Blakely,  at Rudy's BBQ.  We met them on Sunday at church.  They gave talks and mentioned that they had traveled the country for 18 months!!  We had to talk to them. We approached them after the meeting and decided to get together during the week.
The  food was tasty and Molly and Ben were seriously cool.   We had so much in common and had to share RV stories.  They have now settled down here in Waco.  It was amazing to talk to them and hear their adventures!!  They paid for our dinner because they wanted to "pay it forward" for all the times that people bought them dinner on their trip.  We were so grateful and very impressed with their kindness and the kindness of all Americans.  We will definitely pay it forward!!!
Scotty and Ben both have a chopped finger.  One more thing in common
Thank you for an amazing night!!!

looks like so much fun I miss you all (this is Sofie)
ReplyDeleteDo you follow this family?
ReplyDeleteThen you must know
How they plotted and planned,
Then said, “Let’s go!”
The journey ahead was mostly known
Driving miles along the way,
They would finish chores and school first,
Then planned to skate and play every day.
They met some angels, yes they did,
When mishaps in their path fell,
Some cousins, old friends, and new ones too,
Who helped them stay safe, loved, and well.
They went where they planned and some not so much,
To see historic sights and other wonders to behold,
They gave service to others whenever they could,
And made memories to tell when they’re old.
