Today we spent the day at Cameron Park Zoo!!
We tried really hard today to finish up school for the week. We almost did it. The kids for the most part stayed focused and completed almost everything. We will have to do some work tomorrow but for sure we wanted to keep Friday free this week.
The zoo we went to today is connected to the Cameron Park that we played in yesterday. The zoo was really cute. We liked that they combined multiple types of animals in one large viewing area. If you're ever here to do Magnolia, make sure to go to this zoo!
One of our friends back home in California wrote this poem about our family and our trip. My heart was so touched that she took the time and thought to write this. I love it. Thank you Shelly!!!
Do you follow this family?
Then you must know
How they plotted and planned,
Then said, “Let’s go!”
The journey ahead was mostly known
Driving miles along the way,
They would finish chores and school first,
Then planned to skate and play every day.
They met some angels, yes they did,
When mishaps in their path fell,
Some cousins, old friends, and new ones too,
Who helped them stay safe, loved, and well.
They went where they planned and some not so much,
To see historic sights and other wonders to behold,
They gave service to others whenever they could,
And made memories to tell when they’re old.
Then you must know
