Today the boys went to Spider Mountain Bike Park!!
Originally we had planned to leave this morning to go back up north to Waco. I was browsing and found this mountain bike park 15 minutes from us. It looked so cool. Ski lifts up and biking down. The boys really wanted to go. I worked it out with the campgrounds to stay longer at our current site, leave when the boys were done biking and then go late to our next campground in Waco. Both campgrounds were OK with it so the boys left early this morning to play at the bike park. Taj got to go too!!! They had a blast and biked hard!! Taj did some crazy trails!!! It was a perfect diversion of the plan!!
Taj got a free season pass because he was under 10.
While the boys were gone, Pepper and I did all the work to get the trailer ready to leave. We deep cleaned and organized everything. We did laundry and organized the clothes. We cleaned both bathrooms and mopped all the floors. Then we had to clean the black tanks and unhook everything. It literally took us all day to get it all done. Part way through, we took a break to go swing on the bridge. My guess is that this bridge used to be used for cars, but now it's only a pedestrian bridge.
The boys got home around 5:00PM. After packing up the bikes, we drove away at 5:30!! The drive was mostly in the dark. It was only a two hour drive but we stopped at Buc-ee's again, so we didn't pull into our site until about 8:30PM. It was dark and we couldn't see what our campground looked like so I'll post pics tomorrow. We are now at a site right off of Lake Waco, TX!!
