Sunday January 24, 2021 - Lako Waco TX

Welcome to Lako Waco (as Pepper calls it)!!  We went to a beautiful Sacrament meeting today here in Waco TX.  

It was super foggy today but here is a picture of Homie in our campground.  Scotty, Pepper and I went for a walk around the campground to try and see the lake.  It was way too foggy to be able to see the lake.  Honestly, we thought the lake was gross.  The water is full of blue-green algae and so the water is literally slimy green.  Not pretty green, gross green.  As we walked around the lake we found a ton of garbage everywhere.  It could be very pretty here, but the garbage and the algae make it an undesirable swimming place;)). But. . . Our campground is still nice and we are happy to be here.  

We threw a rock in the water to see what it did.  So gross!!!!

Look at the thick algae.  I wonder if it's seasonal or if it's like this year round???

Seriously, a tire in the water.  

Here we were, in the erie fog, reading about the Waco Massacre.  It was a creepy moment.  Scotty and I wanted to remember what happened back in 1993 here. 

Here is a shot from my bedroom window.  The fog finally cleared for a moment.  Then it came back later.
