At 5 AM, Scotty and I got up to finish prepping Homie to leave. We pulled away from Lake Powell at 5:45 AM and were on our way to St. George, UT. We had to leave early so that Scotty could have reception for his morning calls. While at Lake Powell, we had NO reception and NO wifi. It was nuts. Our plan was to drive to my parents house in St. George super early so Scotty could work there all morning, then at 1 PM we would go to our campground and check in. It worked. We were both very tired but we made it safely and on time for the calls. While Scotty worked, the kids and I played with my parents in their house.
Good Bye Lake Powell!! We had a blast and made some of our favorite memories!!
While we've been on the trip, I've sent a few items to my parents house for them to hold for us. Now that we are on our way home, we will gather all the stuff and take it all home. Here are a few pictures of the stuff my dad has been keeping for me:))
Those big boxes are my mug hangers!!!

All those boxes on the left are my blog books that I've been printing:)). There are about 11 books and they only cover May - October for 2020. Hahaha. I'm going to have about 50 books to cover the whole trip:)))
These are all my mugs I've collected from the trip. When we get home I will hang them as decorations. Excited!!!

Asher was trying so hard to get my dad to play him in chess:))). They finally played.

Mac was playing with Asher. It was pretty funny.

While we were here, a monsoon came in with lots of rain. This canal is usually empty. Look at it now with all the water;))
Grandma made us a yummy dinner!
We got ice cream and ended the night swimming at the pool. This stop is more to just bide the time until we can move into our house. August 1 is when we get the house back so we will hang here until July 31. On July 31, we will drive half way to Barstow then sleep there. Then, August 1 we will drive into Simi Valley. The plan is to park the trailer at a campground close to our house and live in the trailer until the inside of our house has been painted and the carpets have been cleaned. Then we will spend the time moving back into the house. We will be prepping Homie at the same time to see him :(. Yes, it's sad but we've decided to sell him and look for a smaller trailer to have for future adventures. We have a lot of work ahead of us.
It's crazy that the trip is about over. It feels like we were just making plans to leave. Now we are making plans to go back home. Time is a weird thing. Does anyone else feel like our trip has moved at an incredible fast pace? We sure have felt that. I am grateful for every moment we had to explore, laugh, work together, learn, grow, appreciate, understand and to love each other along with all of God's children that we’ve met. This trip has been a turning point for the whole family and I give thanks to my Lord and Savior for inspiring us to do the irrational thing. We will forever be better because we listened to the promptings we received and acted on them.
If there is anything that I've learned on this trip, it's that the Heavens are open, and Angels are sent to minister to us, all of us. They have accompanied my family every step of the way. We live in a time of great miracles. I've seen them, daily. I've learned that our efforts to follow the example of Christ, are magnified. Our efforts to do what's right are magnified. This is a wonderful time to be alive and to witness our Lord's love and mercy poured out upon the inhabitants of our nation. We truly live in a chosen land. I've learned that God prepared and inspired our founding fathers to create the Constitution that would give us our Agency and Religious Freedom. Without these, the gospel of Jesus Christ would not have been able to be restored.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, we have felt them.

I am feeling the Spirit so strongly just reading your words. Let me know where you'll be on Sunday and if you want dinner or treats. I don't suppose you'll arrive in town early enough for church????!!!! I can only hope. ❤️
