Today we rented a boat and spent the entire day on the water!!! Oh man!! What a great day. It was a magical day!
Unfortunately, Lake Powell's water level is VERY low. It's so low that the boat ramps are almost unlaunchable (my mom said that it's America, I can make up a word if I want - unlaunchable hahaha :)). Low water levels brought now problems on the water. New rocks and islands have popped up and boats can't travel most of the canals that they once could. So sad. We still had an absolute blast. We were very careful with the boat and made sure to scout out the areas we were in so to not hit anything.
After we attached the boat, we pulled it over to Wahweap Marina to launch it.

We water skied, wake boarded, tubed, knee boarded and swam all over the place!!! In the channels, the water was very choppy but that made tubing fun;)

Sooo, it's monsoon season here. In the middle of the day, a huge storm rolled in. The winds got high so we decided to dock it and wait for the storm to go by. When we docked, the coolest people came over and asked if we wanted them to dig a hole for our anchor. We started talking to them and found out that they are from Bountiful which is by Layton where I grew up. They said that they are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!! Well, at that point, we were instant family!! They invited us to join them on their house boat to stay warm! Oh my! People are so kind and giving. We talked to them for a while and they fed our kids desserts. Then when the storm was almost gone, they invited our boys to go on their boat to go wake surfing. Seriously!!! I am so in awe at the kindness we have received on our trip. When I was thanking them, they said to just pay if forward. My kind of people!!
Here we are. All of us on their house boat!!
This is the boat that they took our boys on to go wake surfing.

Asher wake surfing.
Graham wake surfing.
We said good bye to our new friends and thanked them. It was late so we had to get the boat back to the shop. We gave ourselves like two hours to get back but we were still a bit late:). No worries, the owners of the boat company were seriously so cool.
Today was a really fun day. I will miss these days when we are home doing school and work:(. How boring, school and work. Hahahha
