Back on the road again. Mt. Rushmore completes our two week detour that we had to make because traveling into Canada was a no go. Now we need to drive all the way back to Montana to head to Yellowstone for our next scheduled stop.
The drive from here to our KOA by Yellowstone is like 11 hours. That is so not happening in one day. I decided to break up the drive. The Billings KOA that we stay at, is 6 hours from here, so I booked one night at that KOA. That way we can drive there today, then finish the drive tomorrow. Good Plan!! Go Team!!
Since we already knew the roads back to Billings, it made the drive less stressful. When we were about an hour away from Billings, we stopped to see the memorial at Little BigHorn Battlefield. After touring Custer State Park and visiting Crazy Horse, I thought this would wrap up what we have learned about those two people.
When we arrived at Billings, we noticed that we had a casualty :(. Our wardrobe broke for the last time. I decided that it was time to trash our loyal wardrobe. It worked for almost the whole trip. But now it's dead. So we trashed it and replaced it with tubs.
I figure that we only have 4 weeks left of our trip, so these bins will have to do.
We only had a few hours of day light left, so we hit the skate park in Billings. We will forever call this the Bart Simpson Park. The locals were cool. Some were punks but most of them were cool. When the kids were done, we went back to Homie to sleep. Tomorrow we drive again.
