Wednesday February 3, 2021 - Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX

Look at that cute smile.  Taj has officially finished his Kindergarten Hooked on Phonics books. Today he graduated to 1st grade readers.  Good Job my Tajie boy!!!!!!!!

This morning was so beautiful with open skies and crisp air.  Our world is a gift!!

Today we hit the Johnson Space Center.  We have officially hit all the space centers that NASA runs and we have seen all four space shuttles!!!  Today we added the Bowing 747 that allowed the space shuttles to piggy back on it while escorting them to their next destination.
In L.A. we saw the Endeavor.  In Virginia we saw the Discovery.  In New York we saw the Enterprise. In Florida we saw the Atlantis.  Who knew that space shuttles were so cool!!!!

This museum was very interesting but our least favorite experience of all the museums.  This one was a bit. . . .lacking I guess. Yes there were many cool things to see and learn but it didn't have the BANG that the others had.  We still learned what we could and enjoyed our day. The coolest thing was that we could go inside the 747 and learn more about the man who came up with the idea.  Ohhh and the gift shop was huge!!!

Here you could see how much you would weigh on other planets.  It was funny to see how huge we would be on Jupiter.

This was a great view of the 747 with the Independence Shuttle (which is just a prototype).  This is how they moved our beloved shuttles around.

After all this talk of Astronauts in space, we had to try the ice cream that the astronauts eat.  It was seriously yummy!!  All the kids liked it.

Here's a funny story.  Taj was walking out of the building to go home and and lady who worked at the museum said bye to Taj.  He looked at her and said, "Adios"!!  She immediately stopped him and gave him this coin. She told him that they only give those coins out to cool kids.  hahahaha.  He was super excited to have the coin more than he was excited to be cool I think hahahahaha.
