Friday February 26, 2021 - Santa Fe, New Mexico

Scotty and I saw this sign at a restaurant in Santa Fe.  I had to laugh

Look at this retro trailer that I found in our campground.  It's so cute!!

Today Papa Joe, the kids and I went to explore Santa Fe,  New Mexico. New Mexico has a very liberal governor so most of the state things are shut down.  Bummer. I think next to California, New Mexico is next in line for crazy governors.  Massachusetts wasn't even as bad as New Mexico has been.  We did find one museum that was open so we went there.  After that the Botanical Gardens were open so we walked around the gardens and enjoyed that.

Pepper (for some reason) enjoyed putting snow on her head??

Asher's backflip in the amphitheater!!! Isn't that a cool shot??

Pepper and her love for bears!!

Papa teaching the boys to know if its a fur tree or a pine tree!!

Santa Fe is a very small capital city.  Right in the middle of the city, there is a plaza that is shut off from cars and is a cute little area to walk around in.  There are shops that surround the city center and lots of strands of peppers.  Here is a shot with Pepper and the peppers!!!

The homes and the businesses in Santa Fe were built after the adobe style.  They have been able to preserve the Indian heritage here.  It's different from what we are used to but very cool to see.

Haagen-Dazs was right by the city center so we had to make a stop!!!  Papa Joe treated the kids to an ice cream!!!

City clock.  I loved this!!

The moon tonight was so huge and bright.  These pictures don't do it justice.  We had the most spectacular sunset tonight.

My parents offered to stay with the kids while Scotty and I went out on a date!!! Yay!!!!  Best gift ever!!!  I thought it would be fun to hang out at the Santa Fe city center with Scotty so we went there.  Yes that's right, we went on a Friday night date and hung out in Santa Fe!!  How cool is that!!

Thunderbird Bar and Grill is where we decided to eat dinner. Best food ever!!!  Oh man, it was so delicious.  Thank you Mom and Dad for giving us a night out!!  Spending alone time with my Scotty is my favorite thing ever!!!
