Saturday October 24, 2020 - Hanging Out With Family

While I was at BYU, my very best running friend was named Sariah.  Sarah and Sariah :)) I know.  We were two peas in a pod.  We would wake up early each Saturday and run 20 - 23 miles.  We always laughed and joked and made fun of the way tired runners said "Hi" on the trails.  We were silly.
Sariah lives in Maryland, close to D.C.  We decided that the very best thing we could do was meet up for a run.  This morning Sariah drove an hour to meet me at the W&OD trail. This is a super long trial that goes all the way to D.C.  We ran 6 miles together.  We laughed, cried and reminisced of the good old days;)))
I love my Sariah friend!!

When I got back to Abes house, the kids were starting to wake up. We all ate breakfast and hung out chatting.  After lunch, we all decided to hit a local skatepark.  The park was cool.  The kids did their tricks and had fun.

Unfortunately, we came away with injuries.  Abe sprained his ankle or did something like that, Graham fell and heard his knee pop (I am praying that he didn't tear his ACL or anything like that), Asher hit his ankle bone with his deck and within minutes it looked like he had a tumor on his ankle because it was so swollen.  Drake had a head-on-collision with a skater and Taj totally biffed it and scrapped his face.  (I'm taking a deep breath).  I think we need to not go to skate parks for a while.  I'd be nice if I had a week where no one was injured.  At least I know that we have already met our deductible and our max out of pocket so we shouldn't have to pay for an MRI for Graham if we need to get one.  Ugh.

Our friends Cherice and Mike Spicer found these in Santa Barbara. Funny!!!!

They have bee hives!!!

Two crazy cousins!!

Here we are getting ready to go to the skate park.

We spent the evening playing and relaxing.  The change of pace has been so good for us.  I'm loving just hanging out with no schedule.

Later, we stopped by Homie to get a few things.  He is doing great.
