SUNDAY JUNE 21, 2020 - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY AND GARDEN OF THE GODS

Happy Father's Day to my sweet Scotty.  He is the best and my favorite.  We all love and appreciate him for all that he does to keep us safe and happy.  I love you Scotty.

This morning we woke up and made Scotty breakfast!!  We made pancakes and eggs.  It was such a beautiful morning so we ate outside.
After we ate, we cleaned up and got ready for our home Sacrament meeting.  One thing we have been meaning to do was bless our trailer and our truck.  We finally did that today.  I am so grateful for Scotty and his valiant effort to stay strong in the Priesthood.    I really appreciate the added sense of security that priesthood blessings bring.

Our plan today was to pack up and head toward Garden of the Gods.  We brought our scriptures so that we could find a quiet place there to do our Come Follow Me.  At first we found this huge boulder to sit on.  We read one chapter but then we were way too hot.  So we set off to find a different spot.  The boys found this great secret spot in the shade that had a great climbing tree in it.  We finished our reading there.  It was so great to be able to read the scriptures in nature with the whole family all together.  We feel so blessed.

Pepper read her part standing in the tree. It was so funny.

Osmosis

Yup, this bathroom has no stall doors.  Asher had to go so we all laughed and told him we would watch the main door so he could go in peace.  Asher said, " I'm not going in there.  It looks like WWII happened in there".  Hahhahah

This is us standing watch outside to make sure no one walked in on him:)))
After reading, we wanted to drive around to see the rest of the park.  Guess what we saw??? A black bear!!!!!  It was crazy.  We've never seen a bear in the wild.  We also saw a huge deer and wild chickens.  This place is beautiful.  We really enjoyed our day there.

What????  A bear????????

In the evening the boys went to a spot in our campground  to build a bike jump. All the kids were playing and working together.  Even broken Asher was using his good arm to help carry stuff over.  This was a good mommy moment.  I felt so grateful for my kids and their love for each other.

Taj made this jump :))) He's so darn cute
